Pakistan has become non-permanent member of UN Security Council

Pakistan has become non-permanent member of United Nations Security Council. The Voting for Pakistan to become a non-permanent member took place in 78th session of United Nations General Assembly.

This is another achievement for Pakistan as 182 countries supported Pakistan’s non-permanent membership and Pakistan has been elected as a member for 2025-2026. On this development Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated nation and said that being elected as a member of Security Council is a proof of the nation’s commitment to peace and security.
