Fire in Margalla Hills not extinguished even after 24 hours

Islamabad: Fire in Margalla Hils has not been extinguished even after efforts from last 24 hours. As per reports there was a fire broke out on the hills of Margalla Islamabad, initially the fire was temporarily controlled late at night but after some time fire flared up again later. Now after continues efforts from last 24 hours rescue teams have not completely extinguished the fire.

As per reports water is being sprinkled by helicopter. More than 65 fire fighters of CDA are taking part in extinguishing the fire. Pakistan Navy team is also helping extinguish the fire.

According to CDA and DG Environment hot weather and strong wind are the main challenge in extinguishing the fire. However Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed to control the fire quickly to prevent its further spread.
