Latest Amendments in Tosha Khana Gift Laws

Federal Cabinet has approved latest amendments in Tosha Khana gift laws. Under latest amendments the receiver will not be able to keep the gifts. The gifts will be kept in the prominent place, in the building premises of the recipient’s institution. Along with this a proper record of shields, souvenirs and other gifts will be kept to avoid any mishandling.

Furthermore, in this latest amendment cabinet has decided to increase the remuneration of private sector expert who assesses the gifts. It should be noted that earlier federal cabinet had approved Tosha Khana Policy in 2023 under PDM government. Under 2023 policy Cabinet members including President and prime Minister were not allowed to receive gifts worth more than $300.
